A solo work that carries flamenco from the classroom into the spotlight for the first time, merging it with the pulse of contemporary dance. Light sketches the palos, following a body as it ventures into unknown terrain. Kaja was the result of the one week summer residency granted by Humina ry during June 2026.
A multidisciplinary residency with Pablo Riestra and Nadia Tapia (Chile/Finland), organized by Monoma Suomi and Mushrooming in Helsinki, reactivating an underused building into a shared space for practice, collaboration, and community. Filled with natural light and transformed by Pablo's paintings, the studio itself became a collaborator — hosting Contemporary dance, GYROKINESIS®, Argentine Tango, Meisner technique, workshops, and gatherings where conversation and shared meals mattered as much as the art. I facilitated Dance/Movement and Meisner Technique classes, centered on presence and connection over performance or technical mastery. More than a workplace: a reminder that people, given the space, will always find a way to create, learn, and simply exist together.
