SINERGIA
What was Sinergia?
Sinergia was a group residency granted by Monoma Suomi and the Mushrooming Helsinki workspace network from November 30th 2023 to June 30th 2024. Our small group was formed by Pablo Riestra (Chile/Finland), Nadia Tapia (Chile) and Maria Gat'sal (México/Spain). During our residency we use the provided space for facilitating activities and events that combined movement and arts, such as: GYROKINESIS®, Argentinian Tango, Contemporary Dance, and acting classes. The space was used as well for painting exhibitions by Pablo Riestra.
We named our residency Sinergia (Spanish word for synergia) as it refers to interaction or cooperation that gives rise to a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts. Emphasizing collaboration, the residency aimed to create a collective experience that surpasses the individual efforts by offering a space for encounters, discoveries, and joy.
